Host an Event for HVCS
You can be a fundraising superstar!
Hudson Valley Community Services (HVCS) works with over 3,000 low-income Hudson Valley residents who live with chronic diseases. They struggle with conditions like HIV/AIDS, substance abuse, mental health issues, diabetes, hepatitis C, liver and kidney disease, and many more illnesses.
Join us in our mission to help and support your neighbors in need. Throw a fundraising event for one of our areas of need and know that you’ve made a real change in your community.
You don’t have to be wealthy or donate a large amount to make a difference. All it takes is the desire to pitch in and an idea for a gathering. Organizing your friends, family and community and asking them to contribute small amounts can really add up!
EXAMPLES OF THIRD PARTY EVENTS
Help HVCS by organizing:
- Potluck dinners
- Walks, hikes or bike rides
- Bake sales
- Loose change collections
- Charity days at your business: collect donations from employees or donate a percentage of all sales
- Food drives
- Paint-and-sip parties
- Guest bartender nights
- Turn a special occasion into a fundraiser! If you’re having a birthday, anniversary, religious celebration, or wedding, why not consider asking guests to bring a donation for HVCS in lieu of gifts?
- The possibilities are endless!
GETTING STARTED
- Go with what you know: Use your existing skills, resources and connections
- Share your passion for what HVCS does for the region
- An event of any size can be a great success!
