Dining Out for Life Ambassador Training

Monday, March 11th, 2013

We’re looking for volunteers to serve as ARCS representatives within restaurants that are participating in Dining Out for Life. Ambassadors’ main roles are to 1) greet and thank diners for coming 2) inform them that a part of their bill will be donated to ARCS that night 3) hand out special envelopes so diners can make an additional donation and possibly win prizes. Of course, an ambassador’s job is a lot more fun when you bring lots of your own friends and family to that restaurant.

You’re invited to one of three training sessions to learn how to be a DOFL Ambassador—or, if you’ve done this before, how to be an even better one! Trainings are very informal and hopefully fun, too. We provide you with all the necessary materials to be a success.

Ambassador training dates/options:

Wednesday, March 20: 6:00 – 7:30 pm – at a private residence in Beacon – sign up for directions and address

Tuesday, April 2: 6:00 – 7:30 pm – ARCS Hawthorne, 40 Saw Mill River Rd.

Wednesday, April 3: 6:00 – 7:30 pm – ARCS Poughkeepsie, 235 Main St.

Please let us know if you’re interested in being a 2013 Ambassador, and which training you can attend (and if you want to help but can’t make a training, just let us know and we can work out a custom training for you). And please invite others to attend, too, or forward this email.

Check out the list of participating restaurants so far at www.diningoutforlife.com/hudsonvalley
