You read that right, folks – Big Gay Hudson Valley’s “B.Y.O. kickoff to summer” is back and expanding to an entire Pride Preview Weekend worth of activities! Clear your calendar for May 25th, 26th & 27th (Memorial Day Weekend) and check out this lineup:
Pride Preview Weekend tees off with an appropriately sports-themed “Kick-off” party at The Out Bar (206 Main Street in Poughkeepsie). Strap on your finest athletic apparel and join us (and our team of go-go boys & girls) for a party that doesn’t care what team you play for. As the newest addition to the Hudson Valley’s booming LGBTQ nightlife scene, The Out Bar features a state-of-the-art sound & lighting system, fully-stocked kitchen and bar menu, and an outdoor terrace perfect for a breath of fresh air or glimpse at the stars.

The Pride Preview Party is once again taking over the grounds of the Locust Grove Estate in Poughkeepsie, NY on Sunday, May 27th from 5pm to 12am – Rain or Shine! Don’t worry about rushing home early from work this year – since you’re off on Monday, we moved the party to Sunday. Join us and close to 1,000 of your friends for our 4th annual summer classic as we celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with one of the Hudson Valley’s biggest and gayest events of the summer!
What are you bringing?The Pride Preview Party is a BYO picnic, and as such we encourage everyone to pack the most fabulous picnic dinner possible. For those less “culinary adept” – or those that just plain don’t like to cook – the fabulous boys of crumb bakery + cafe will be on hand vending delicious sandwiches, salads, desserts, and drinks from their menu. Locust Grove’s gorgeous estate grounds and gardens also warmly welcome dogs (on a leash, please) and children. While a bar will not be set up on site, those of the legal drinking age are invited (and encouraged) to pack their favorite adult beverage of choice to be enjoyed on the lawn during the event. Entertainment for the evening includes live performances by the Hudson Valley’s very-own DJ Ali, Drag Bingo Cabaret with Trixie Starr & Ophelia Nightly, and our headline – straight from NYC – acclaimed gay performer and music producer DJ Cazwell! All this and more as we transform the historic Locust Grove Estate into a fabulous dance club.
